At present, more and more attention is paid to the radiation performance of the whole machine in the RF test of mobile phones, which is ultimately reflected in the transmission and reception ability of mobile phones. At present, passive test and active test are mainly used. The passive test aims at the gain, efficiency, direction pattern and other radiation parameters of the mobile antenna. Although the influence of the overall environment on the antenna performance is considered, the final radiated transmitting power (TRP) and receiving sensitivity (TIS) after the antenna is combined with the overall device can only be evaluated through active test. It is usually carried out in a specific microwave darkroom, and the whole machine is sampled in 3D space through OTA. This test requires the linkage of two axes of the positioning device, and the test cost is high and the efficiency is low.

The source stirring reverberation chamber is a resonator. When the operating frequency, cavity size and boundary conditions of the reverberation chamber are unchanged, the weight of each mode in the effective mode combination can be affected by the disturbance of the excitation source, and the field distribution in the chamber will be stirred. The removal of the mechanical agitator in the chamber saves a lot of space in the reverberation chamber, increases the volume of the working area used for testing in the chamber, and improves the utilization efficiency of the chamber space.


The OA-NTCX100 uses multiple transmitting antennas. Compared with a single antenna, the advantage of multiple antennas is that in different stirring positions, there is no need to change the position of the antenna, only need to control the excitation state of the transmitting antenna through the electronic switch, you can choose to stimulate a single antenna at different times or stimulate multiple antennas at different times.

OTA-NTCX100 reverberation chamber test and statistics


The dual-polarized antenna is placed in the DUT placement area, and the data of the two polarizations are collected by the vector network analyzer, and the statistics are observed in real time. It can be seen that the statistical data converges quickly, and the difference between different polarizations can be controlled within 1dB (regardless of the difference between antenna polarizations), and the whole test process can be completed within two minutes. Dozens of times more efficient than other production line test methods.


At present, the reverberation chamber has been accepted by IEC, MIL-STD-461E, RTCA DO-160E, EURO CAE ED90, 3Gpp, CTIA, ISO and other standards organizations, and is widely used in scientific research, production and other fields.
